What our work represents

ICSDS prepares Safety Data Sheets, label reviews, and regulatory assessments based on the information provided by the client and the requirements applicable at the time the work is performed. Our deliverables reflect professional judgment applied to that information; they are not a certification, approval, or guarantee of regulatory acceptance.

Client responsibility

What remains with the product owner

The accuracy and completeness of formulation, composition, and test data supplied to ICSDS.
Notifying ICSDS of any change in formulation, supplier, manufacturing process, or intended use.
Final responsibility for placing a product on the market and for its compliance with applicable law.
Maintaining and distributing current versions of documentation to customers and downstream users.
Limits

Requirements vary

By jurisdiction
Requirements differ between OSHA HazCom, WHMIS, EU CLP, and other frameworks, and within regions.
By product
Classification depends on formulation, concentration, physical form, and available data.
By channel
Retailers and marketplaces may apply requirements beyond the regulatory baseline.
Over time
Regulations, classification lists, and exposure limits are revised periodically.
