Fertilizer Registration
Commercial fertilizer, soil amendment, and specialty fertilizer product are subject to state registration before distribution and sales.
Licensing is required for firms that have their names on the labeling or invoicing for an agricultural fertilizer manufactured or distributed in a specific state. All commercial fertilizer, specialty (non-farm use) fertilizers or soil conditioners distributed in the state must be registered by the manufacturer or distributor.
All firms that have their names and address on the labeling or invoicing for an agricultural fertilizer manufactured or distributed in the State are required to obtain a Facility License. A license is required for each of these facilities whether they are located in or out of the State.
